I attended IMPACT this year’s edition, and what resembles after that within my system is: Let´s have those uncomfortable conversations about sustainability in tourism.
The information I listened to and wrote down from the panelists was a lot to digest as a newcomer to the subject of sustainability in tourism. It took me a while to process it, and to come up with a plan to go beyond the words in my system. By my system, I mean my career, my business, my family, my academic path, and of course my journey as a traveler.
I do not want to forget what I felt and acknowledged there.
It is not a coincidence that sustainability was the starting point in my agenda this year. I am learning.
The next question is: How do I want to help? How do you want to help?
This conference happens every year in BC, I am from Mexico, and having this international experience with my family is a blessing and an open door to this type of data. Therefore, the very next step for me is to spread the word in my country!!.
At the end, We all share one world as tourism operators.
Perhaps you are an introverted person. I am one. I am always thinking more than speaking. That is why I write.
